We here at The Gaming Review know that people are far too busy to go searching through all the latest news stories, so to make things easy, we’ve compiled what we think are the most important news stories over the past 7 days:
- Sony has confirmed a new PS4 bundle, which includes Killzone: Shadows Fall, 2 DualShock 4 controllers and a Playstation camera, and will cost no more than £10 more than an Xbox One (£429).
- Criterion studio head Alex Ward has urged on Twitter for Burnout fans to “be patient†for a “decent Burnout game†after their breakaway from Need For Speed.
- Valve has announced a range of Steam gaming machines coming in 2014, which will run SteamOS.
- Xbox One will require a subscription to Xbox Live at launch in order to Microsoft’s DVR game-capture and sharing.
- Nintendo has revealed two new fossil Pokemon in the upcoming games, Pokemon X & Y, along with their evolutions – the Rock/Dragon type Tyrunt, which evolves into Tyrantrum, is obtained from the Jaw Fossil, and Rock/Ice type Amaura, which evolves into Aurorus, is obtained from the Sail Fossil.
- Capcom announced at the Tokyo Game Show that PS4 exclusive Deep Down will be free to play title.
- Take-Two have announced that sales of GTA V hit a record-breaking $1 billion in just 3 days. Analyst previously estimated that Rockstar’s latest title would take a month before hitting that figure.
- Rockstar’s Dan Houser has stated in an interview with The Guardian that the Grand Theft Auto series wont revisit London.
- Grand Theft Auto Online will incorporate micro-transactions, allowing players to spend real money in return for in-game money.
- The Batman: Origins Season Pass has been announced for £15.99, which will grant players access to the 5 upcoming DLC packs, which are the Goth by Gaslight and Brightest Day Batman skins, New Millennium Skins Pack, the Infinite Earths Skins Pack, an Initiation bundle where you play as pre-Batman Bruce Wayne and an all-new story campaign.
- Toon Link has been confirmed as a playable fighter for Super Smash Bros. For the Wii U and 3DS.
