E3 is finally upon once more, and here at The Gaming Review we know you busy gamers can’t always sit through the hours of press conferences to get the latest news from all the top developers. So that’s why we’ve done that bit for you, and put all the best bits from E3 in one place, along with some of the biggest news stories outside of E3 from over the past week.
- EA has announced a new physics based platformer, called Unravel, where you play as a creature made from yarn. A release date hasn’t been announced yet though.
- EA have also officially announced that Need for Speed will be released on the 3rd November this year.
- Also announced at EA’s E3 press release, Mass Effect: Andromeda, the 4th instalment in the Mass Effect series, will be released during the holiday season in 2016, and will be available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
- Bandai Namco have confirmed that Dark Souls 3 will be the final game in the series, after it was officially revealed at Microsoft’s E3 press release.
- Xbox One exclusive Gears of War 4 will be released during the holiday season in 2016, after developer The Coalition revealed details at Microsoft’s E3 press release.
- Microsoft also officially announced Gears of War: Ultimate Edition, a complete re-master of the original Gears of War, which will be available on Xbox One on August 25th.
- Microsoft have also announced that Turn 10’s Forza Motorsport 6 will be hitting shelves on the 15th September this year.
- Fallout news now, and Bethesda have announced that Fallout 4 will be available on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC on November 10th.
- Bethesda also unveiled a new crafting system for Fallout 4, which allows players to construct various buildings and structures, as well as more.
- Fallout 4 is also set to support all PC mods on Xbox One. The Xbox One version of Fallout 4 will also come with Fallout 3 included for free.
- Microsoft have continued the good news with the Xbox One, after they announced the One will support backwards compatibility, and be able to play Xbox 360 games.
- Meanwhile Bethesda have released a Fallout game, called Fallout Shelter. A free-to-play mobile app where you create and control your own vault.
- Bethesda has also announced Dishonored 2, which will be released some time next year.
- Square Enix have officially revealed that a HD remake for Final Fantasy VII is currently under development. So far only a PlayStation 4 version has been confirmed.
- Square Enix have also announced that the next Hitman game will be released worldwide on December 8th, and will be available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
- Square Enix also announced at E3 that Deus Ex: Mankind Divided will be available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC sometime in early 2016.
- Just Cause 3’s release date was also announced at E3 by Square Enix. The sandbox game will be released on December 1st for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC.
- Nintendo have announced that Star Fox: Zero will be heading to Wii U. Little information has been revealed so far, but we know that it will be co-developed by Platinum Games, and will have no multiplayer features.
- Nintendo also announced a new instalment of Mario Tennis, Mario Tennis: Ultra Smash, which will be heading to Wii U sometime this holiday season.
- Telltale Games have revealed a new miniseries for The Walking Dead, titled The Walking Dead: Michonne, which will be available on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PC, iOS and Android sometime this Autumn.
- Capcom have announced that Street Fighter V will not be releasing on Xbox One.
- Driveclub game director Paul Rustchynsky has revealed that Driveclub for PS+ is ‘in the final stages of development.’
- 343 studio head Josh Holmes has confirmed that all Halo 5: Guardians DLC map packs will be completely free, in a bid to keep the player base totally united.
- Cyanide’s Warhammer based game Blood Bowl 2 will be released on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC on November 22nd.
