An absolutely cracking month for Playstation owners kicks off the Bank Holiday month, so let’s take a quick look at some of the titles you’ll be able to download at no extra cost this month:
Armello (Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, May 1 – May 31) – a grim, digital role-playing strategy board game brought to life from a fantasy world with anthropomorphic creatures
Dungeons 3 (Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, May 16 – June 15) – a real-time strategy game where you build a dungeon to annihilate the forces of good!
LEGO Batman: The Video Game (Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, Xbox 360, May 1 – May 15) – The Lego games encroach on the world of Batman! It does have an original story, however, featuring many iconic characters from the DC universe
Tropico 4 (Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, Xbox 360, May 16 – May 31) – another real-time strategy offering, this time as a world (or island) builder. But rather than concentrate on a happy democracy, you’re a dictator – El Presidente – and must manage your island as well as your political landscape to thrive and maintain power
Wreckfest (PS5) – modern-day Destruction Derby, Wreckfest has an incredible handling and driving model. It feels great to play and is enhanced for PS5 in this version, featuring higher frame rates and more players online at once
Battlefield V (PS4) – a bit rocky to start with, constant updates have added a tonne to Battlefield V and it’s now a fully-featured, massive online first-person shooter. It does a great job of recreating large scale battles, set in a WW2 arena
Stranded Deep (PS4) – a first-person survival game, you find yourself stranded in the vast expanse of the Pacific Ocean. Using resources you find, you need to survive
