Can I download these games before my consoles explode in the heat? Not a stellar month this month on any format, but there are some gems.
Horizon Chase Turbo (PS4) – Remember Outrun? This is a bit like that only with updating handling. It’s surprisingly fun but… it is kind of a mobile game.
Pro Evolution Soccer 2019 (PS4) – Remember FIFA? This is a bit like that only with unlicensed teams. Well some licensed teams.
Detroit: Become Human (PS4) – Remember Pro Evo? It was a free game this month but Sony recognised that it was a crap free game, so now we have Detroit. An interactive game from the mind of David Cage (Quantic Dream), the makers of Heavy Rain (which spawned the famous, ‘Press X to Jason’ line)
Inside (Available July 1 to 31 on Xbox One) – Remember Limbo? This is a bit like that, a creepy, mysterious horror platform game, full of atmosphere. It’s won loads of awards.
Big Crown: Showdown (Available July 16 to August 15 on Xbox One) – Remember Fusion Frenzy? This is a bit like that but with a medieval theme. It’s a four player party game.
Castlevania: Symphony of the Night (Available July 1 to 15 on Xbox One and Xbox 360) – Remember Castlevania? This is a bit like… oh wait this is Castlevania. A classic from Xbox 360.
Meet the Robinsons (Available July 16 to 31 on Xbox One and Xbox 360) – Remember that crap movie, Meet the Robinsons? This is the game of that. Well, based on it anyway. Animated adventure fun.
