March already? Probably the best month for free games in recent memory although slightly dampened for PS3 and Vita owners who received the news that (next year) PS3 and Vita will be dropped from the monthly prizes.
Superhot (Xbox One, 16th March-15th April) – excellent time-bending first person action. Each level has a problem. Things only move when you do. The faster you move, the faster things move. Amazing. Just amazing.
Trials of the Blood Dragon (Xbox One, 1st March-31st March) – bit of an odd mash up of the Trials stunt bike series.
Brave: The Video Game (Xbox One and Xbox 360, 1st March-15th March) – official video game of the Pixar film. A so-so game of a so-so film.
Quantum Conundrum (Xbox One and Xbox 360, 16th March-31st March) – puzzle action a bit like Portal, from the creator of Portal.
Bloodborne (PS4) – Dark Souls-esque action. Brutal, brooding, brilliant, and tough.
Ratchet & Clank (PS4) – 3D platform shooter, a reimagining of the first game.
Legend of Kay (PS3) – a PS2 remaster about a young cat who has to save his island from gorillas.
Mighty No. 9 (PS3 and PS4) – massive Kickstarter hit, spiritual successor to Mega Man. Sadly, it was a critical disappointment but at least you can try it and see if it’s improved since.
